Atlanta Schools' Wellness "workshops to promote nutrition and physical education
When Atlanta opened its doors to schools In late August, a new project started. Atlanta Schools' Wellness Workshop Project is part of a comprehensive program designed to provide strategies for fitness and nutrition for students and staff in all schools in Atlanta. innovative strategies to be used include yoga classes for teachers and students, the lines vegetarian the cafeteria, and trails. The general plan has been developed by the School Board of Education Atlanta. The Education Council publish guidelines on how to implement the program and how schools are evaluated.
An important part of the plan is the establishment of welfare boards. These councils are composed of teachers, parents, administrators, students and community and business partners. The Council will contribute to the integration of schools Atlanta nutrition and physical education in existing programs. The council will also be well- a presence at events in all schools in Atlanta.
