Find Chiropractic Universities in the United States and Canada. Candidates seeking to enroll in one of several alternative health courses will find that a number of chiropractic universities offer comprehensive graduate, undergraduate and chiropractic studies.

In almost all cases, chiropractic universities require applicants to have earned prerequisite courses and/or a degree from a traditional college or higher learning institution. As with most academic organizations, chiropractic universities provide intensive clinical training and education. Curriculums vary, but for the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) Program, students frequently engage in approximately 4,200-5,000 instructional hours, which can be achieved in a four to eight-year time span (depending on part-time and full-time course availability).

While each state differs in licensure requirements, applicants should familiarize themselves with pre-chiropractic and other educational requirements prior to enrolling in one of several chiropractic universities. In addition, common curriculums that are extended through chiropractic universities entail in-depth instruction in anatomy, biochemistry, business, chiropractic skills, clinical nutrition and diagnosis, microbiology, neurosciences, pathology, physiology, psychology, public health, and radiology. Students who have completed all applicable training and internship programs will be able to sit for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners test. Upon successful completion and passing the exam, students must also (in most cases) maintain specified hours of annual continuing education to retain licensure.

A number of chiropractic universities offer post-doctoral courses in a variety of subjects including applied chiropractic sciences, family practice, neurology, nutrition, orthopedics, pediatrics, radiology and rehab; to list just a few. For the entrepreneur, chiropractic universities allow individuals to become self-employed healthcare providers who often work solo or in small, partner practices.

Students drawn to the fascinating field of chiropractic will find that chiropractic universities not only present course-intensive education and training, but will also discover that this alternative health treatment taught at chiropractic universities is quickly becoming mainstream medicine.

Furthermore, chiropractic universities also enable successful graduates to enter a health care practice, which is definitely on the rise. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, "Employment of chiropractors is expected to grow faster than average for all occupations through the year 2014 as consumer demand for alternative health care grows."

If you (or someone you know) are interested in finding one of several chiropractic universities, let education within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Is the USA ready for a non-hate, non-violent organization dedicated to the rights of Caucasians?

I am putting forth this very serious question regarding the formation of the NAAACP: the National Association for the Advancement of All Caucasian Peoples.

MISSION

The Mission of the National Association for the Advancement of All Caucasian Peoples is to, by education and advocacy, promote the cause of Anglo-Americans, Caucasian-Americans and European-Americans, that their accomplishments not be forgotten nor their progress impeded.

Purpose

A seven-fold declaration of purpose including education, racial discrimination, Caucasian rights, egress from poverty, Caucasian history, moral and ethical alternatives to hate, bigotry and prejudice, and the last:

VII. To encourage, facilitate and broadcast the belief that among all races our success as human beings is based on the strength of our will, our character and our conduct and not on our oppression of others, regardless of our differences.

Early in the year there were cries everywhere about food shortage all over the world. There was real scarcity of rice and definitely an accompanying upsurge in price. This made a lot of us put on our thinking caps again. Nigeria should be a major rice producing country. All of sudden a vogue started in Nigeria. Our local breed of rice was being served at parties in leaves as was done in the olden days. Our local breed popularly referred to as "ofada" especially in in the Lagos, Ogun axis. Rice is richly cultivated in Ekiti, Edo, Abakaliki, Lagos and Ogun states, definitely breeds from these states vary,

Our leaders in these states should consider creating INVESTMENT out of this situation, these would bring adventurous businessmen into the country seeking to experiment with our various local rice breeds. Our local rice breeds have turned out to be very great delicacies. These various breeds in Nigeria will create an excitement in the world rice market. People are used to the regular long grain type of rice as made popular by the known world producers of rice Thailand et al. With some technology Nigeria can break into the world rice market as a major rice producer. Every sector in life comes with varieties, our local breed will come as an alternative to the usual.

This is where I believe businessmen from rice producing countries should come in with their experience and also technical expertise in Rice production. Even if the target is the local market initially. Our leaders and our financial institutions should look into rice cultivation and production as an investment window.

INVESTMENT advice in this sector is available on request. Please email for details.

When you look at academic achievements only, homeschooled children seem to advance quicker than their counterparts in public schools. A report published by the ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) shows that homeschool test scores were exceptionally high and well above that of public and private schools. They found that homeschool students in the 8th grade are four years ahead of their peers in public or private schools.

In a study conducted by Dr. Lawrence Rudner, he discovered that learners who were being homeschooled their entire school career, achieved the highest out of all the children.

Interesting information that came from this research was the difference that homeschooling made to the achievements of different race groups. There was very little difference found between the scores of white, black and Hispanic children in homeschooling. On the other hand, there was a significant difference between the achievements of different race groups attending public schools. Eight grade public school learners scored on average at the 58th percentile in math, where black children scored at the 24th percentile. White students scored at the 57th percentile in reading and Hispanic students at only the 28th percentile.

Dr. Ray, in his book, Strengths of Their Own, came to another interesting conclusion. The amount of money spend on tuition had no effect on the achievement of the child. In fact, the cheaper homeschooling option had better results than the far more expensive public schooling. In his research, based on statistics from 1998, he found that a homeschooled child cost parents on average $546 compared to the $5 325 for a public school learner. The average score for the homeschooled child was at the 85th percentile, where the score for the public school learner was averaged at the 50th percentile.

These research studies were done in a number of the states and in all the results the findings were the same. The homeschooled child scored on average 20-25 percentile points higher than their counterparts in public schools.

The research also found that the qualifications of the parent responsible for the schooling had no real affect on the achievement of the student. Read it.

Who is doing renewable energy education? How are you accomplishing the task? What are you focused on?

I am researching the current energy and renewable energy issues facing the world. The task is very extensive and complicated. Each region has renewable energy opportunities that can be important to environmental issues, economic development, and social needs for all humans. Government agencies, industry, agriculture, educational and research organizations are focused upon massive research efforts. This seems to provide a way to share information, thoughts and ways to help people to improve our lives by conserving energy, find alternative energy resources and realize that fossil fuels are depleting and non-renewable. Can renewable energy be a way to produce additional energy? Networking can provide valuable information to further the advancement of changing habits about energy. I am a farmer with a background in sustainable energy and educational degrees in agriculture. A sustainable energy for industrial and developing countries can improve the quality of life of all human beings.

Naturopathic colleges commonly provide four-year educational programs that are designed so that graduates may earn a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine diploma or degree upon successful completion. (Degree availability is subject to individual naturopathic school, State and/or Country requirements.) If you are interested in this particular discipline of alternative medicine, you will soon discover that enrolling in a naturopathic college allows you to learn a unique system of health care, as naturopathy is a delicate integration of ancient medicine, natural healing arts and up-to-date, noninvasive medical therapies. Furthermore, naturopathic medicine is still based on 6 essential principles of healthcare, including to "first, do no harm," to "treat the whole person," and "disease prevention."

Prior to applying and/or enrolling in a naturopathic college, it is important to review course prerequisites. In some cases, naturopathic colleges require college-level courses in biology, chemistry and physics; in addition to anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry before entry.

Typical programs which are taught in a naturopathic college may involve acupuncture and Oriental medicine; clinical nutrition; homeopathic medicine; life coaching; and physical medicine, as well. As with most alternative medicine institutions, accredited naturopathic colleges seek to provide an in-depth academic and practical training program that prepares students to become natural healing practitioners. To do so, healing arts studies and general curriculums are quite course intensive and usually includes coursework in anatomy; basic sciences; biochemistry; botanical medicine; clinical diagnosis; cardiology (and additional studies relevant to diagnosis and treatment of other disorders); counseling; environmental medicine; Herbology; homeopathy; hydrotherapy; immunology; microbiology; naturopathic history and philosophy; natural therapeutics; neuroscience; nutrition; prevention and therapeutic exercises; and much more comprehensive subject matter.

Because naturopathy is often facilitated as complementary medicine, integrative health and wellness medicine, and as a primary health care system by itself, chances are that naturopathic college graduates will be able to find lucrative employment opportunities in this fast-growing natural healthcare field. In a lot of cases, successful graduates of naturopathic colleges may go onto working in natural health care or integrative health care clinics, but some naturopathic doctors may elect to become entrepreneurs of the field and open their own primary care facilities.

What are some effective motivation and discipline techniques you have used with behavioral support students?

I am currently being considered for a position in an alternative school, with a particularly challenging student body. I have done vast amounts of research, and I have my own theories, but I am interested to know what any teachers out there have done in their classrooms to motivate challenging students, and what classroom behavior programs you have used sucessfully, particularly in special education (behavioral or emotional support). I'm interested in any thoughts or ideas you may have.

Thank you in advance for your input.
I also should add that this will be an inner-city junior high school setting.

I teach an EBD (emotional behavior disorder) class, and the biggest piece of advice I can give you in planning for a behavior program is to give as many positive reinforcements to the students as you can. A behavior plan that you may find in a general ed classroom or even a resource room that involves taking away points, activities, sticks, etc, DOES NOT work with these students. Once these students start escalating, it makes things much worse if you start to take things away. I let my students earn everything. Please take into consideration that I teach elementary students, but I've worked with middle-school students as well, and these students respond best to positive reinforcements. As you get to know your students, you will quickly figure out their likes/dislikes, as well as their emotional "triggers". Work out individual behavior plans/contracts with the students, and let them take part in the development of the plan/contract. When I first started teaching ED kids, I used a card system in which they would lose cards for bad behaviors. This didn't work at all. Often time when a student starts to escalate, they could care less about their cards. I learned quickly that I would have to change my behavior plan. If your students like computer time, let them "earn" it through the use of a point system or other type of plan. Most of these students do not understand their feelings and emotions, and they respond to a structured "point" system, schedule, etc. They need something concrete that they can follow consistently.
Most importantly, no matter how frustrated you get with the behavior of these students, keep in mind that you cannot rationalize with irrational behavior. When the students are acting out aggressively/emotionally, let them "come down" before you try and speak with them about their behavior. I hope this helps to give you some ideas. EBD kids are the most challenging of all special ed students I've taught, but the rewards are worth the struggles....most days! Good luck to you :)
